Spero Clinic Reviews: Liam's Journey With Long COVID!
Liam Gives His Testimonial Of His Journey With Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
Video Summary
Liam experienced constant and severe pain from pediatric Long COVID and developed full-body Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) after contracting COVID-19 two years ago.
He rated his pain as severe, around 7-8 on a scale of 10, which increased to near unbearable levels during a three-month hospital stay in January 2023.
Upon arriving at a treatment facility, his pain and sensitivities were very high, but he has seen significant improvement since.
Liam’s current pain level is at zero, allowing him to return to normal activities like attending school and spending time with friends without pain.
He expresses relief at being able to engage in everyday activities and enjoy life’s mundane aspects, indicating a substantial recovery.
Suffering from a Neurological disorder can be incredibly isolating, hopeless and frightening and we understand that. Our treatment protocols are not meant to directly treat CRPS. What we work to achieve is the rehabilitation of the central nervous system.
The nervous system is a collective of nerves stemming throughout your body with the brain as the controller. Your nervous system controls all of the information that your body transmits to communicate with your brain. In the case of CRPS, your nervous system being damaged, can severely malfunction and send signals in the extreme to simple sensory input. i.e. – the wind blows on your hands and it feels like a terrible burn. By relaxing and rehabilitating the nervous system, as well as correcting any other imbalances within your brain and body, we hope to reset and restore the proper functionality of the systems within your body.
** We are currently the only facility in the world offering this treatment, our expertise is constantly being developed.
Each patient brings new knowledge and a better understanding of conditions that are widely misunderstood. At The Spero Clinic, it enables us to consistently mold and change our treatment protocol to be the most effective that we possibly can.
For pain, really. Pain for Mobility, as well as, secondary thing, but mainly just the constant pain everywhere.
(Graduation day – current)
So I had Co 2 years ago which led to uh Long COVID for 6 months, which then developed into full body CRPS.
(Flashback – discussing pain symptoms)
Based on that that pain was probably like a seven or an eight… but at like the hospital in Australia… like a 10.
(Graduation day – current)
It was an eight when we got here. There were sensitivities would have gone a lot higher in hospital when I was in hospital for 3 months back in January 2023, it was like a 9/10 every second of every day, but now I’m at a zero.
(Flashback)
[what are you looking forward to and excited about getting back to?]
Just like live life again, like go back to school and just not have to worry about being in pain and just able to like enjoy friends but like without that extra thing in the background kind of always lingering there and what not.
(Graduation day – current)
[what are you looking forward to and excited about getting back to now that you are graduating?]
Seeing friends living life again school all the boring stuff in life, you know? All the mundane draws and stuff like that…. having some fun, you know, taking it easier for a bit.
